Cameras do not only document reality; they can also create entirely new worlds.
Welcome to my website. I am Ahmad S. Alballa, a photographer and visual artist. My work moves between what I see in the world and what forms within me before it becomes an image.
My visual practice is divided into two paths that meet in a shared language. In my conceptual work, I start with an idea or a feeling that develops in the mind and try to give it a visible form. I do not see the image as a mere documentation of a moment, but as a quiet space that can hold a question, a feeling, or a state.
Alongside this, I return to the world as it is. I photograph landscapes and architecture, looking for balance in lines, fleeting moments of light, and a quiet stillness that often goes unnoticed.
What connects these works is my interest in light, contrast, and thoughtful composition.
I do not aim to provide answers, but to leave space for reflection and to allow the image to be experienced from different perspectives.

This website does not use tracking cookies and does not process any personally identifiable data for advertising purposes. For statistical analysis of visitor numbers, we use the privacy-friendly web analytics tool GoatCounter.
2. Hosting / Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. GoatCounter collects purely statistical data on the use of the website (e.g., accessed pages, browser type, approximate origin). No cookies are stored on your device and no personal data (such as the full IP address) is permanently recorded or passed on to third parties. IPs are hashed and anonymized. The use is based on our legitimate interest in the needs-based design and optimization of our website (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
